Sometimes the days without a packed schedule are the ones we remember most fondly after a holiday. A summer day at the Schwarzwald-Häusle can be just like that: sleep in, enjoy a leisurely breakfast, spend time outdoors and decide later what you actually feel like doing.
A relaxed start to the day
A summer day is best started with a leisurely breakfast. Instead of following a fixed schedule from the moment you get up, you can ease into the day at the Schwarzwald-Häusle and see what the weather and your mood have in store.
Perhaps you’ll head out for a hike afterwards, or take a trip to one of the many places worth visiting nearby. Or you might simply stay in Tennenbronn and around the holiday park.
That is exactly what we like so much about summer at the Schwarzwald-Häusle: there are plenty of possibilities, but no need to make use of all of them.
Out into the Black Forest
If you do feel like heading out, there is plenty of nature to discover right around Tennenbronn. Forests, meadows and small paths begin practically on the doorstep, and the Schwarzwald-Häusle is also a great starting point for longer excursions.
On hot days, the outdoor pool in Tennenbronn is another great option. And of course, the surrounding area offers many more opportunities for hiking, cycling or visiting one of the nearby Black Forest towns.
A holiday day does not have to be packed with activities. Often, a walk through the forest, a little break along the way and then returning to the Häusle is more than enough.
Sometimes it’s nice to have no plans
And sometimes the best decision is simply not to head out again at all.
Read a book, sit outside, play a game or simply enjoy the peace and quiet. That is what holidays are for, too. Especially after a longer excursion the day before, a slow day in between can be wonderfully relaxing.
In the evening, you can cook together and let the day wind down without watching the clock. And if you do feel like getting out once more, a short evening walk around the area is always easy to fit in.
Holidays can be simple
Of course, there is enough to discover in the Black Forest to fill every day of your holiday with a different excursion. But there is no need to see as much as possible every single day.
For us, a perfect summer at the Schwarzwald-Häusle also means simply losing track of time now and then. No alarm clock, no fixed schedule and no feeling that you still need to rush off somewhere.
Because sometimes that is exactly what makes the best kind of holiday day.
